In computer terms there is an old but extremely relevant saying that goes along the lines of Garbage In - Garbage Out and as with most things yet another which aims to contradict, namely: What You See Is What You Get WYSIWYG (in this sense we mean what you see on your screen or indeed the output from your printer). From our perspective, as printers, the first one is true 100% true and second one (WYSIWYG) might be true but often isn’t. In this technical section we aim to help you achieve what you expect by explaining in fairly basic terms why it is the case that expectations are not always met and what you can do or indeed perhaps what you should expect from what you offer. In the litho printing world we don’t actually do perfection but we can get the very best from our equipment and here we aim to empower you to do the same. As with most things there is a price to pay especially so for something approaching ‘perfection’. We can provide you with varying levels of ‘proofs’ and best of all we are always willing to discuss those expectations and advise you accordingly.
